Van Wyck – System Upgrade
Van Wyck – 12-inch Pipeline Project
PURPOSE: The primary objective of this project was to eliminate a 4.4 mile, 6-inch “bottleneck” within the PEG system situated between 12-inch and 8-inch sections where pressures could drop in excess of 100 psi during the winter season. Upon the conclusion of this project 12-inch steel will now transition to 8-inch seel as it feeds the Lancaster County panhandle, eliminating the bottleneck. The existing 6-inch pipeline that is being replaced will be turned over to Lancaster County Natural Gas Authority for their distribution network.
